Strawberries and Pie Me! - new Cure Kids fundraisers

By

Theta

Each year of our participation in the Cure Kids Great Adventure Race brings new and innovative ways to raise funds - all to help researchers continue to find cures and better treatments for Kiwi kids living with potentially life-threatening conditions. We've already raised more than $1,500 in support of our 2016 campaign - here's an update from our latest fundraising activities.

Special strawberry delivery

Paul Hammington & Andrea Wallace of Ferncourt Gardens in Cambridge donated five crates bursting with family packs of large, juicy and sweet strawberries. Paul drove up from Cambridge at a very busy picking time to deliver it to us.

All packs were snapped up raising a total of $500 and keeping Theta's strawberry lovers happy. Thanks to Emily for organising and to Paul and Andrea for the generous donation!

Theta managers face pies for Cure Kids

Just a couple of weeks earlier, dessert was on the agenda too ("just desserts", perhaps?) when three brave volunteers agreed to be pied.

Colleagues snapped up the chance to pie their managers, raising $225 for Cure Kids - a worthy cause AND a bit of fun.
