By

Theta

Theta last month completed its acquisition of SharePoint consultancy IGA Systems. Our SharePoint team now grows to eight specialist consultants in Auckland and Christchurch.

IGA Systems, established in 2005, is one of the few specialist SharePoint firms in New Zealand, and is widely considered a market leader in this technology. The company has been recognised several times at the Microsoft New Zealand Partner Awards.

Ignacio Montenegro, IGA Systems’ Managing Director, joins Theta as Head of SharePoint and Collaboration Solutions, along with three other experienced SharePoint consultants. Ignacio comments:

“We’re excited IGA Systems has become part of an organisation that fits so well with our aspirations and culture. Theta is a dynamic company with the resources and expertise to support our existing customers. Together we’re really well positioned to grow the SharePoint area of the business.”

Rob Lee, Theta’s CEO, adds:

“This is a great opportunity for Theta, and for our customers. Ignacio and his team have a wealth of experience and a fantastic reputation in the market. The acquisition further enhances our SharePoint offering, which sits at the intersection of many things we do.”

SharePoint is a key component of Microsoft’s business application suite. It is part of Office 365 – Microsoft’s cloud desktop offering and one of their fastest growing products ever. SharePoint is also central for Microsoft BI delivery and is increasingly a platform for delivering line of business applications.

The IGA Systems acquisition extends Theta’s SharePoint team, which recently achieved silver status in Content and Collaboration, Microsoft’s SharePoint competency. Theta CEO Rob Lee comments:

“Achieving silver partner status depends on customer references, and demonstrates consistent performance in a particular business area. With IGA Systems on board, Theta now has even more capacity to deliver great content and collaboration solutions.”
