Theta expands business intelligence offering through acquisition of two complementary companies

Theta has acquired Prophesy, a Wellington consultancy recognized for its expertise in Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI).

Established in 2007, Prophesy has a strong base of government and private sector clients, including Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Maritime NZ and Fulton Hogan. Prophesy has been involved in the Canterbury rebuild through work with Stronger Christchurch, and was recently appointed by Z Energy as their preferred Business Intelligence supplier.

Rob Hawthorne, Prophesy’s founder, leads a talented team of Microsoft BI specialists based in Wellington, and manages Theta’s business south of Taupo. The company is moving into larger offices in Featherston Street (Wellington CBD) to accommodate the growing number of consultants providing the full range of Theta services.

Divizo – a small company providing a data warehousing and reporting system for Exonet financials – is another recent acquisition. This also makes Theta the NZ agent for Report Portal, an advanced web client based reporting solution for Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) that lets you drill up and down, slice and dice your data as well as build, publish and view many different types of reports.
