Matt Owen
Director and Manager, Utilities Centre of Excellence
Matt teamed up with a group of likeminded colleagues to found Theta in 1995, and has been an integral part of the company ever since. He is an executive director and principal consultant, and leads our Utilities Centre of Excellence, focusing on the design, development, implementation and support of high availability/large volume systems for the energy and telecommunications industries.
When he founded Theta, Matt already had more than 15 years IT experience, including software design and development roles with Yates Corporation, Wang, Keystone and Netway/Telecom/EDS in New Zealand and Texaco, Irish Life and Prudential in the UK.
Matt is a member of the Institute of Directors, and in his spare time enjoys skiing, wakeboarding, mountain biking and tramping.
