Richard is based in Theta’s Christchurch office and leads our Project Delivery team in the South Island.
He is a seasoned Project Management professional with over 25 years’ experience in Project & Programme Management, initially in electronics R&D and since 2012 in ICT. He is MSP, Prince2 and PMP certified and has experience running projects using Waterfall, SCRUM and other Agile methodologies. He is proficient in leading and delivering complex portfolios of projects/programmes through the complete lifecycle from initial idea to delivered solution and has extensive experience in establishing clear and agreed project scope and requirements. Richard has run a large team that supports and enhances the delivered solution through to end of life.
Richard has a focus on communication – within the team and to external stakeholders. He takes a “No surprises” approach and ensures early escalation of issues and risks – to enable stakeholders to influence outcomes. Richard takes a consultative style, facilitating discussions and problem solving, then making decisions and clearly communicating action plans.
Richard joined Theta in July 2017 and has delivered CRM, Enterprise Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Integration and Digital solutions. Prior to joining Theta, Richard led a CRM project at the University of Canterbury and delivered Infrastructure, Hosted Services, Active Directory, Security and Desktop roll-out projects at Computer Concepts Limited.
