Since 2012, Theta has been giving back to the community and supporting Cure Kids by competing in the Cure Kids Great Adventure Race. Read more about our adventures below.
In March 2018 we won the race and to date we have raised over $93,000 for Cure Kids – something we are really proud of. The race has brought us all together, supporting one another and raising money for a great cause.
The Absolute Wilderness Adventure Race is our next target. Taking place on Saturday 23 February 2019 in the South Island high country near Twizel, this race will be a challenge and step up from the Cure Kids race, with more country to navigate and longer timeframes. The Absolute Wilderness race is raced as a team of 3 and involves the core disciplines of trekking/running, mountain biking and includes a white-water rafting section (rafts & guides provided).
Our participation will raise funds to help researchers continue to find cures and better treatments for Kiwi kids living with potentially life-threatening conditions.
Thank you for your support, from all of us here at Team Theta.
