Ransomware can attack any business, at any time and in any location. Despite the best efforts of security teams across the globe, it's a constant battle to keep environments secure from an endless stream of evolving threats.
With increasingly sophisticated attackers, anti-malware and traditional setups just don't cut it anymore. Cyber attackers will find your security weaknesses, exploit them and cause devastating consequences. For New Zealand organisations, the trend is alarming. We've seen more attacks happening and more front-page headlines. Combine this with the huge challenges that many businesses are facing at the moment, and it's a recipe for disaster. We don't want you to be next.
We can help you to prepare. Our assessment will highlight your susceptibility to ransomware and guide your decisions about where to invest in security.
Is it a penetration test?
It's much more than that. Unlike traditional penetration testing, we carry out a real-world simulation of actual techniques used by adversaries. We do this with you, not against you, and work with your existing processes, people and technology to understand what telemetry you have to detect threats and what controls you have to prevent them. In doing so, we'll be able to see if your controls stand up to the most sophisticated and modern threats.
What information will I see?
Our assessment is scientific and evidence-driven. We use the MITRE ATT&CK framework to measure your ability to detect and prevent ransomware, providing a comprehensive map of strengths and weaknesses. These results are accurate, reliable, and you’ll be able to identify areas of improvement quickly.
Does it matter how advanced (or not advanced) our current security measures are?
Not at all. This is designed for organisations who are at both ends of the maturity spectrum. For less mature organisations, it's an opportunity to create a strategy. For mature environments, you can identify security areas to invest in. Tools, techniques and procedures are changing all the time, so it’s worth taking the time to prioritise which technical and business processes to improve.
