Microsoft NZ Partner Awards win

By

Theta

Microsoft New Zealand celebrated the work of its partners at an awards ceremony in Auckland last night, with Theta winning the ERP Partner of the Year award.

This award recognises work for energy start-up First Gas, which brought together expertise across the Microsoft stack, from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to CRM Online and reporting, stitched together in the cloud with new integration tool Azure Logic Apps. First Gas implemented a total of ten new systems in just four months to get up and running fast.

Utility industry regulatory requirements, the organisation’s financial structure and multiple peripheral systems added extra layers of complexity to the ERP implementation. But we still delivered the complete NAV system one week early and within budget, ready for the First Gas team to connect and start using. Blane Evans-Parker, First Gas’ Programme Manager, highlights the scale of this achievement:

“I thought it would be pretty difficult. I do not think it has been done in New Zealand before in that time frame. There have been takeovers but not of this scale and the time pressure. And it was not just one system, we had at least 10 major systems.”

Theta CEO Rob Lee comments:

“I’m very proud of our ERP team, whose great track record at the Microsoft Partner Awards speaks to the excellent work they do for our customers. This year the award is particularly special, as it also recognises a whole of Theta effort as well – with our ERP, CRM, integration and analytics teams all contributing to a great solution for First Gas.”

A total of 22 awards were given out last night. Congratulations to all the winners and finalists.
