Theta relationship manager tours China with Waitakere Auckland Brass
Did you know that Chris Lines, a relationship manager at Theta, also leads a (now not so) secret double life as an E Flat Horn player in the Waitakere Auckland Brass Band? The band was recently invited by the Chinese Government to spend 10 days in China performing at the Shanghai Tourism Festival and representing Auckland City as part of 20 years of celebrations of a sister city relationship between Auckland City and the City of Ningbo. The reality for many people working in a sales environment, especially where the products and services being sold are complex and highly sophisticated, is that there is always a requirement to have documentation. For example product specifications, proposals, diagrams, price lists etc. To be really effective these documents need to be available to different people anywhere and anytime.

Cortana Analytics Suite: first look
In 2011 Marc Andresson said “software is eating the world.” We’re now on the brink of a new and profound change. Half of all connected data is now stored in the cloud. Cloud is eating not just software but data too. Cortana Analytics is Microsoft’s response to that change. Last month Theta’s product technical architect Jim Taylor headed to Redmond, Microsoft’s HQ, to learn about the new Cortana Analytics Suite, and the opportunities it offers to connect, integrate and learn from data, to automate that process and do it at scale.
