This year’s IDC C-suite barometer surveyed New Zealand executives, and highlighted low levels of alignment in the priorities of executives in relation to information and communication technology (ICT). We’ve observed this too, and thought it would be of interest to our customers to hear the full findings from IDC and their suggestions for closing this “C-suite gap”.

A world of deliciousness: international lunch fundraiser for Cure Kids

Last month we celebrated the many cultures that make up the Theta family in the best possible way – through food. Our Auckland office is a multicultural place - at last count we had hired the best and brightest from 31 different nations. We got a (literal) taste of those countries and cultures last week, through 24 different national dishes, prepared and shared as a fundraiser for Cure Kids.

How to step inside BizTalk using the Visual Studio debugger

BizTalk is Microsoft’s flagship integration and B2B platform, and is used by many of our clients. Recently I encountered a problem where the ability to step into it with a debugger turned out to be a big help. Some creative thinking is needed to get inside a closed source .NET application, but as I’ll show in this post, a combination of tools - Visual Studio debugger plus the free dotPeek decompiler – did the trick. Even better, this technique is applicable to any situation where you need to debug a compiled application that you don’t have the source code for.
