The Arctic Wolf 2026 Threat Report was launched this week, which draws upon real-world incident response data and insights as well as first-hand experience from security experts on the ways the threat landscape has evolved in 2025 and predictions of the top threats organisations will face in 2026.
A few key takeaways below:
• Three cyber incident types account for 92% of all IR cases [ransomware, BEC and data incidents]
• 77% of clients who used negotiation services did not pay their ransoms
• 85% of BEC fraud incidents were traced to phishing, an 11% jump from last year’s report
